First Citizens was pleased to continue its support of calypso music by once again sponsoring the Trinidad and Tobago Unified Calypsonians Organization (TUCO) Junior Calypso Monarch on Monday, February 5th 2024 at the Grand Stand, Queen’s Park Savannah, Port of Spain. The highly anticipated event provides young calypsonians with the opportunity to showcase their talent during the Carnival season.

This year’s Junior Calypso Monarch, Nataki Thompson, stood out with an awe-inspiring performance that demonstrated not only musical prowess but also a deep connection to the rich cultural traditions of Trinidad and Tobago. In addition to Thompson, Zachary Ransome and Koquice Davison, the second and third-place winners respectively, also demonstrated outstanding talent deserving of recognition for their remarkable contributions to the art form.
