First Citizens Senior Kings & Queens of Carnival Awarded!

The First Citizens Group joined the National Carnival Commission and the Trinidad and Tobago Carnival Bands Association in awarding the top Senior Kings and Queens of Carnival on Wednesday 23rd March 2022 at the Grand Stand of Carnival City, Queen’s Park Savannah, Port of Spain. The Group was the proud sponsor of the First Citizens Senior Kings and Queens of Carnival one of the main highlights of the recently concluded Taste of Carnival.

At the awards ceremony, prizes were distributed for the King and Queen of the North, the King and Queen of the South, the People’s Choice and the top ten Senior Kings and Queens of Carnival of which First Citizens sponsored the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes.

The Group’s investment in culture as one of its five CSR Pillars continues to be one of the many ways the Group demonstrates its social conscience and commitment to community. From its symbolic handover of its Charlotte Street property to the Trinidad and Tobago Carnival Museum to the long list of success stories such as the First Citizens Supernovas, the First Citizens Dragon Boys, the First Citizens Original Jab Jab, the First Citizens/TUCO Junior Calypso competition and the First Citizens Junior Parade of the Bands, the Group continues to preserve, promote and sustain the rich culture of our twin island.
