Updating of Payments

Whether you are hooked on our Self Service channels or if you prefer more traditional banking, we cater for you, giving you access to your funds in the shortest possible timeframe.
Channel | Timelines |
Online Banking (immediate payments only) | Monday to Thursday: payments made by 3pm will be updated on the same night. If payment is made after 3pm, then that payment will be updated on the night of the next working day. |
Telebanking | Friday: payments made by 4.15pm will be updated on the same night. If payment is made after 4.15pm, then that payment will be updated on the night of the next working day. |
Branch | Weekends and Public Holidays: payments will be updated on the night of the next working day |
ATMs | Payments will be updated on the night of the first working day after the payment was made at the ATM. This also applies to payments made on weeekends and public holidays. |
Standing Orders (from First Citizens accounts, incl. of scheduled payments via Online Banking) | Payments will update on the night of the next working day. This also applies to payments made on weekends and public holidays. |
Fast Deposit Boxes at Branches | Payments will be updated on the night of the same or next working day after the payment was made. |
