How to Get Started:
To apply for Business Online, follow these easy steps:
Step 1 – Download the Business Online application form
Step 2 – Print and complete the form.
Step 3 – Email to businessonline@firstcitizenstt.com or drop off your application and supporting documents at any conveniently located Branch.

1. What is First Citizens Business Online Banking?
First Citizens Business Online is an easy, fast, secure, “real time” online and user-friendly banking platform which allows customers to streamline their business operations, monitor and manage their company’s financial activities digitally, anywhere globally, anytime via internet connection. Designed with businesses in mind, our platform gives the businessman the edge in today’s dynamic financial landscape.
2. What are the key features and benefits of First Citizens’ Business Online Banking?
Business Online enables you to:
Manage accounts: Real-time balances, 90-day activity history, downloadable e-statements with cheque images.
Pay & Transfer: Internal transfers, bill payments, payroll, vendor payments, wires, RTGS.
Control Access: Administrator/user self-enrolment, custom permissions, secure messaging.
Strengthen Security: Two-factor authentication, password self-resets, card services (block/unblock, PIN set).
3. Who can apply for the Business Online Service?
Eligible applicants include: Companies and Corporations, Statutory Boards, Local Government entities, and other registered business entities.
4. What are the requirements to sign up for this Service?
To sign up, you’ll need:
- A First Citizens business account (used for payments, transfers, and fee deductions).
- A signed application form (downloadable from our website).
- Your company’s registration documents (to verify your business identity).
- Valid ID for all company directors (for security and compliance).
Submit these by branch drop-off or email to businessonline@firstcitizenstt.com and our team will contact you to start onboarding.
5. I am the company’s owner/director, can I authorize someone to process transactions on my behalf on the Business Online Platform.
Yes, you may appoint up to two Administrators to manage your company’s Business Online profile. Administrators have full platform access, can add/remove users, and assign permissions. They are responsible for managing users’ access securely.
6. Are there fees associated with accessing this service?
We believe in clear, upfront pricing with no hidden charges. Here’s what to expect:
- ACH transfers to other local banks: $1.25 per transaction.
- Monthly service fee: $100 (debited automatically).
- ACH transfers within First Citizens: $1.00 per transaction.
A full fee schedule will be shared with your Letter of Offer or on request.
7. What web browsers are First Citizens Business Online compatible with?
Business Online works on Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, and Safari across desktop and mobile devices.
8. Is First Citizens Business Online downloadable as a Mobile Application?
No, Business Online is not a mobile app. You can access it anytime from your mobile browser on any compatible device.
9. Can I access my account via the internet when I am not in Trinidad and Tobago?
Yes, you can securely access your account anywhere in the world, 24/7, using our recommended browsers and security settings.
Security & Privacy
1. How can I be sure that your system is safe, and my transactions are private?
Your security is our top priority. Business Online is protected by advanced security measures, including two-factor authentication and one-time passwords (OTPs) via email or SMS. This means you can transact with confidence, knowing your business information is safeguarded.
2. Can other Internet users access my account?
No, only users authorised by your Company Administrator can access your company’s account. Each user must self-enrol with their own unique login credentials, protected by advanced encryption.
3. Can anyone impersonate me and reset my login password?
No, password resets require multiple layers of identity verification. If you suspect your account has been compromised, immediately reset it using “Forgot Password” and send a secure message to our team.
Transacting
1. Are there limits to the number and value of transactions that I can complete on the platform?
Yes, there are default daily and per-transaction limits for certain payment types (such as ACH). These can be customised at onboarding, and Administrators can adjust user-level limits at any time.
2. How long do internal transfers or payments processed on the platform take to be reflected in the beneficiary’s account?
Internal transfers between First Citizens accounts are processed instantly and funds are reflected immediately in the payee’s account.
3. How long do transfers or payments processed on the platform to other financial institutions take to be reflected in the beneficiary’s account?
Most transfers to other banks are available within 1–5 business days. Payments are processed Monday to Friday in batches at 8am, 10am, 12pm, and 3pm. No batches are processed on weekends or public holidays.
4. How can I be sure that my internal transfer was successfully completed, and the funds are in my account?
You can confirm your transfer instantly by checking your account balance. E-statements are also available for download. If you have concerns, contact the Business Online team for verification.

2. What happens to my pending transactions during migration?
You’ll receive a migration notice two days before your onboarding date. Submit all pending transactions before this date as any not processed will be deleted and must be re-entered in the new system after enrolment.
3. What happens to my users during migration?
During migration, only current Administrators will be moved to the new system. All other users must be re-created by Administrators and will need to self-enrol.
