First Citizens and the Trinbago Unified Calypsonians’ Organization (TUCO) officially recognised and awarded the participants of the TUCO/ First Citizens Junior Calypso Monarch from the 2024 Carnival season which culminated on February 5th 2024. The award event took place on Saturday, April 20th, 2024 at the VIP Lounge, Queens Park Savannah, Port of Spain. This year marked First Citizens twelfth year sponsoring the exciting competition.

Addressing the audience at the awards, First Citizens Group Deputy CEO – Operations and Administration, Mrs. Neela Moonilal-Kissoon emphasized the importance of collective support in fostering a vibrant calypso culture. She further stated that “First Citizens values the enthusiasm of the young calypsonians themselves and the passion with which they delivered.”
