Ignite the Dream
The “Ignite the Dream” motivational segment aims to inspire girls to recognise their passions, set goals, and cultivate the confidence and resilience to conquer hurdles. Through creating a supportive and inclusive atmosphere, this session encourages girls to embrace their individuality, honour their strengths, and view challenges as avenues for growth.

Ashley Lashley, Former Miss World Barbados, Founder and Executive of The Ashley Lashley Foundation, is a Barbadian youth advocate and SIDS Children and Youth Action Summit 2024 Youth Coordinator, whose advocacy for sustainability, climate and health literacy began when she was just 16 years old.
Ashley’s advocacy has seen her engage with key decision-makers and influencers, including the United Nations General Assembly, Unicef Advocates Mobilization Lab and international model agencies. With a powerful voice and a deep understanding of the issues, Ashley Lashley is driving change towards a more sustainable, equitable, and just world.
Dare to Do
Whether it’s mastering a new skill, advocating for a cause, or unleashing a passion project, our “Dare to Do” festival segment will challenge girls to be fearless and push beyond their limits, igniting their inner leader and unlocking a world of possibilities. This is the moment for our attendees to unleash their untapped potential and show the world what they’ve got!

Dr. Makeba Brooks is an entrepreneur and a specialist emergency physician with over 20 years of experience. She co-founded Urgent Care Barbados Inc., where she pioneered Barbados’ first full-featured concierge medical practice, Urgent Care Mobile, which under her leadership became the island’s largest private COVID-19 testing provider. Now operating a 24-hr clinic, dental practice, digital medical imaging suite and an ambulance service, Dr. Brooks continues to make significant strides. Beyond her entrepreneurial achievements, Dr. Brooks is deeply committed to personal development and impact and believes that ‘Thoughts Become Things’.

Barbadian Creative Arts Psychotherapist, Nicollette combines dance, arts therapy, and mental health advocacy in her work. With 6 years of experience, she helps clients cope with mental health, substance abuse, and emotional challenges through creative modalities. Her unique therapeutic approach focuses on emotional, physical, mental, and social development, promoting healing and authentic self-expression.
Social Savvy – Digital Media Training
Ashley is a seasoned Digital Marketing Strategist with a proven track record of developing and executing impactful digital strategies for local and regional corporations. With a wealth of experience across diverse industries, she has mastered the art of digital marketing, turning insights into actionable strategies that drive results. Ashley’s expertise spans analytical reporting, content development, and copywriting, making her a versatile asset to any team.
Holding a Master’s in Marketing and Sales Management from Edinburgh Napier University, Ashley has deepened her knowledge and sharpened her skills through years of working with top agencies in Barbados. Her dedication to staying ahead of digital trends ensures her clients always benefit from innovative solutions tailored to their unique needs.
Empowered & Aware – Personal Safety
A physical fitness aficionado, the 2018 Party Monarch and Starcom Network People’s Monarch is a black belt in karate, who can boast of being one of the strongest men in Barbados after capturing the Barbados Strong Man title at the inaugural Strong Fest Barbados in 2017 and retaining it the next year.
