Terms and Conditions
The following definitions apply to these Terms and Conditions:
“Cardholder” refers to the Primary cardholder of an Eligible Credit Card.
“Promotional Period” refers to the period from March 20 to May 31, 2024 inclusive.
“Eligible” refers to qualification to participate in this promotion.
“Eligible Purchases/ Transaction” refers to any purchase of goods and/ or services utilizing an Eligible Credit Card but does not include any purchase / transaction attributable to business activity or which falls outside of the purpose for which the Bank issued the credit card.
“Good standing” refers to a credit card account that is active, remains within its approved limit, and maintains an up to date payments status throughout the Promotional Period.
“Eligible Credit Cards” refers to First Citizens Bank (Barbados) Limited issued personal VISA credit cards.
How to Participate/Draw Prize:
Upon successfully applying for a First Citizens VISA Credit Card during the campaign period or attaining the Eligible Purchase/Transaction spend requirement of BBD$500, Cardholders will receive one entry. Cardholders will receive an entry for every additional BBD$500 spent during the promotional period.
There is no limit to the number of entries a cardholder may receive during the promotional period.
The Prize
Grand Prize
- 5-night stay in a One Bedroom Ocean View Suite at The Crane Resort
- Inclusive of a Food & Beverage Credit o BBD $2800.00
- Maximum Occupancy: 4 persons
- Validity: July 1st – November 15th, 2024
- Overall prize package shall not exceed BBD $5,000
Consolation Prizes
- Three (3) lucky persons will be selected to receive a prize of (3) winners of BBD$1000.
Eligibility
This Promotion is open to legal residents of Barbados who are eighteen (18) years of or older and holders of Eligible Credit Cards in Good-Standing. Cardholders who are employees of the First Citizens Group, their immediate family members (spouses, parents, children, siblings and their respective spouses) and/or those living in the same household of any of these employees are not eligible to participate in this Promotion.
Draw Prize
The prize draw will take place on Monday June 17th, 2024.
Notification of Winner/ Prize Claim
Grand Prize:
The winner will be contacted via telephone utilizing his/her contact number contained in the Bank’s records. If the Bank is unable to establish contact with the winner by telephone within two (2) business days of the draw date, another winner will be drawn. The Bank shall not be under any obligation to make more than one attempt to contact any subsequent winner selected after the first draw.
Once contacted by telephone as aforesaid, an email will be sent to the winner to advise him/her of the process to be followed to accept the Prize. Thereafter, the winner will have two (2) business days to accept the prize, produce to us a valid form of National Identification and attest to their ability to fulfill the prize redemption conditions. Failure of the winner to accept the Prize within the period aforesaid will result in the prize being deemed forfeited immediately.
Consolation Prize:

All Prizes:
The winners’ eligibility will be terminated if they decline the prize or fail to meet the requirements to claim it.
The winner/s shall accept full responsibility for any taxes, gratuities, insurance, travel expenses, and other costs not specifically included in the prize package. Additionally, the winners release and hold the Bank harmless from any and all claims, losses, injuries, or damages arising from their participation in this promotion and use of the prize. The prize will be forfeited and a new cardholder will be chosen at random if the chosen cardholder is unable to meet any applicable prize redemption requirements.
Prize Restrictions
Is non-transferable and subject to change. It must be accepted as awarded.
Privacy
Each winner of any prize and/ or benefit of this Promotion consents to the use of their name, address, telephone number, email address and any other information provided by said winner to the Bank and its affiliates in relation to the Promotion. The Banks will use this information to execute the Promotion, publicly announce the winners and distribute any benefit and prize of the Promotion. The use of such information will also be regulated by the Bank’s privacy policy.
Nullity and Modifications
The Bank retains the right, at its sole discretion, to alter or cancel this promotion at any moment without providing a reason, as well as to amend the terms and conditions. If there is a disagreement based on this Promotion, the Bank’s judgment is final.
Disputes
The Bank’s decision in all matters pertaining to this Promotion shall be final and binding.
Jurisdiction
These terms and conditions shall be governed by the applicable laws of Barbados.
These terms and restrictions solely relate to this offer; they do not apply to any other promotion or programs run by the bank alone, or to any promotions or programs run in tandem with the bank and other organizations or brands.
